iM3 Holiday Show Sunday, Dec 8, 2013 3:00pm

Welcome the holiday season with the Intermountain Trio. This concert has become a tradition for SkyHeart and trio fans alike. You won't want to miss this final holiday performance for Tim, Don and Mike.

Tim Keegan

Founding member of the original Foothills Trio, Tim has been performing folk music since college. What began as a solo act in the early 70's became a duo when Tim met Don Golden in the early 80"s. Bill Engelhardt joined them in the early 1986 to form The Foothils Trio. This group went on to perform in New York and Vermont for many years. Tim is an active member of his community, serves on several boards and also performs at churches in the area.

Michael McAllister

Michael is the co-owner and operator of SkyHeart Studio, a performance venue, art gallery and massage studio  downtown Gloversville.

Don Golden

Also a founding member of the Foothills Trio, Don is an accomplished guitarist, vocalist and composer. The spirit of the Colorado Rockies runs through Don's veins and culminates in a rich and lively voice. Don has recorded several CD's and also performs solo events.www.dongoldenmusic.com

SkyHeart favorite John Scarpulla returns with special guest Brain Shafer Saturday, Oct 26 at 7:30PM

John has toured, recorded and collaborated with some of the
Born and raised in New York City, John began playing Bars and Subway stations in and around Manhattan in his early twenties. Recently he has relocated to upstae New York with his family and has been playing and recording incessantly for the past two years. Categorizing Scarpulla's music is difficult because it combines so many elements of Folk, Blues and Classic Americana, that it is in fact "Original." Scarpulla's recently released album "Blue Ruin" has received strong reviews in several publications inluding Metroland and BlogCritics.

Local singer-songwriter John Scarpulla makes acoustic music rooted in a deep burnished groove, with intonations of blues, pop, and soul. And even in the music’s darker moments—when staring down the past through a once-full beer glass in “Something in a Brown,” for example—there’s a cautious optimism that lifts his muse upward.

The Cobleskill resident has a big soulful voice and some dazzling poetical chops to bolster his fine melodic sensibilities. Scarpulla’s deft songwriting touch particularly shows through on the potently soulful “Wednesday” and the breezy, comfortable “No Reason.” From Woodstock to Ballston Spa to Schoharie County, Scarpulla’s been making his live presence known in the area this year, and Blue Ruin shows him to be a singer-songwriter and performer (in the greater John Hiatt neighborhood) who is well worth your time.
